This week we have been very busy setting up our blog and all the social pages whilst living our busy life at the same time. BUT we've managed hurrah! and Kate is currently on her way back to Wales for her THIRD Christmas with her family. Anyway we both look forward to providing you all inspiration of the best places around the world to visit. Whether they are the top attractions perfect for a city break, or a hidden gem that is well worth a visit off the beaten path!

Infographics are a great way to display information and we've found a great one to start off with... Sandymount Hotel presents an infographic look at the modern travel blogger. We'll look at their average age, most popular destinations, technology, income, use of online platforms and of course, their blogging. (that's us!)

Are you a travel blogger? Do you agree with the infographic? Let us know what you think in the comments below…

I am sure everyone's familiar with the term 'bucket list' where a person hopes to accomplish a number of experiences or achievements during their lifetime. When planning our round the world trip, we thought long and hard about what we really wanted to see and do, and then thought even harder - what could we really do to push us to the edge, to let us discover ourselves while travelling.. To inspire you we have put together a few places you should not miss off your bucket list. We are so confident with these places that we too have planned to travel to them all.

For such a small island, Jamaica has had a massive influence on the world. This legendary nation, which celebrates 50 years of independence in 2012, evokes passion and affection even in those who have never visited, and brings a dreamy look to the faces of those who have. It has produced the most celebrated reggae star in history, Bob Marley, and some of the greatest sportsmen in the world, including Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake. It has inspired writers, artists and filmmakers.

The cultural and commercial centre of Thailand, Bangkok is steeped in tradition and yet thoroughly modern. A bustling metropolis with soaring skyscrapers and a state-of-the-art airport, it is also home to colourful temples and mesmerising royal palaces. There is plenty to see and do in...

When it comes to travel destinations, both myself and Kate have been to quite a few over the years; both together and family holidays. Growing up I've learnt a lot about travelling from having caravanning holidays throughout the UK, now this may sound like posh camping and not the hard-core stuff, but it does teach you that you can go away anywhere and to enjoy the place you are at. For me this is where it all started, having also been on many driving holidays from home (England) to Europe it gave me a huge insight to just jumping in the car and seeing where you end up. - What better way to explore than over land rather than by plane.. you see so much more behind the scenic views this way! Rome and Lake Garda in Italy is definitely one of my favourite travel destinations with my family, that and visiting America the first time and to also see my sister getting married! There is so much to see and experience in the world, that I personally cannot stand the type of holiday where you sit by a pool all day getting a tan in a fancy country. You can say you've been there, but have you really experienced it? Don't get me wrong, I do love relaxation and sometimes during a holiday it is a must to get away from normal day-to-day life; but on the other hand I also enjoy getting stuck in and getting lost in a new place. Let's face it, you're not really lost just because you aren't following a map.
